If you’re here, you’re probably not looking for motivation. You’re looking for clarity.

The Exit Room exists because most advice about leaving education begins with solutions rather than assessment.

What the Exit Room does differently

The Exit Room does not tell you to leave education.
It does not push you to stay.
It does not offer one-size-fits-all solutions.

Instead, it helps you identify your current decision state — because the right next step depends on your capacity and constraints, not where you think you “should” be.

The Five States

People questioning their future in education usually fall into one of five states. These states describe decision capacity, not identity or intent:

Survival State
Decision capacity is reduced by exhaustion or overload.

Urgent Exit State
Change is necessary, but must be managed carefully.

Parallel Income State
Income stability is still required before exit.

Skill Translation State
Capability exists, but is under-recognised or under-translated.

Reframed Education State
You may remain in education, but on different terms.

These are descriptive, not prescriptive.

None of these are failures.
They require different decisions.

How this works

  1. Take the Exit Room Check-In

  2. You’re routed to the state that best fits your situation

  3. You’re shown information relevant to that stage.

No pressure.
No comparison.
No generic advice.

No decisions are required, and no outcomes are prescribed.

What this is — and isn’t

The Exit Room is a decision framework.
It’s designed to reduce risk, prevent costly mistakes, and help you move forward deliberately.

It is not coaching, motivation, or wellbeing advice.

It does not replace medical, financial, or employment advice.

The Exit Room supports decision readiness, not outcomes.
